Earrings style guide

Matching your earrings and your dress does not involve rocket science. And yet simply knowing that certain shapes and designs of earrings complement one style more than the other can make a difference. Lets have a go at it…

Face Shape: Studs go best with diamond, oval and long faces. Heart-shaped & square faced fashionistas should avoid studs as it can create a chubbier appearance around the cheeks.

Outfits: The metallic/stones/pearl studs go well with formal and semi-formal dresses. Plastic studs on the other hand go really well with fun and casual outfits.
Face Shape: Hoop earrings enhance the width of the jawline in case of  heart-shaped, diamond and oval face shapes. For round and square face shapes go for oval hoops to give a more petite appearance.

Outfits: The hoops go very well with outfits sporting boatneck, off -shoulder and strapless necklines. Avoid v-neck dresses and  collared outfits. If chosen right, they go equally well with formals & casuals.

Face shapes: If you have an oval, heart-shaped or diamond shaped face, you should go for wider chandelier earrings. In case you have a square or a round face, you should go for longer and narrower chandelier earrings to add length to your face.  A nice pair of chandelier earrings can make you look very attractive.

Outfits: These go extremely well with  formal dresses and Indian ethnic clothes (Saree & Suits). Try not to match these earrings to your dress exactly, but rather choose colors that compliment your ensemble.
Face shapes: When in doubt, this the best option as it compliments all face shapes. This is a must-have for all women. If you have a round face, use angular/geometric designs to enhance the look.

Outfits: They go best with a dress as it adds an elegant look and feel. Jeans are a no-no. You can go for broader necklines. To make sure your earrings get that attention, you can have your hair pulled back in a high ponytail or a messy bun.

So let me know how these styles work out for you. 🙂game on mobile

your article seem to be running off the screen in Ie. I’m not sure if this is a formatting issue or something to do with internet browser compatibility but I thought I’d post to let
you know. The layout look great though! Hope you get the problem resolved soon.
    Many thanks
