There are times when a necklace or ring isn’t enough to take your outfit up a few notches. What to do to instantly transform your look? Throw on a belt.
In fact, wearing one when you don’t need one sometimes makes for the best kind of look 🙂
Sometimes you don’t even have loops on your dress to safeguard a belt but then a belt can do a lot more than just cinch. It seems like a simple solution, an old trick that’s basically foolproof: Tie a belt around the waist of your dress and guess what? An instantly body-flattering look that wraps around your natural waist and creates the illusion of an hourglass shape.
The right belt can have the exact affect, especially for those times your outfit feels like it’s missing a little something. I picked this beautiful Kuchi Tribal belt ( Actually I bought two, I know I know!) during my visit to A Hundred Hands exhibition and couldn’t wait to style it. This unique belt is handmade with rows of mirrors and embroidery done by the banjara community in India.
This was my way of i introducing a flavour of tribal without going over the top. Hence keeping it simple with a neutral top and skirt.
