The good news is that Gap is opening their first store in Bangalore (Woohoo!) The brand is synonymous with simple, elegant and effortlessly comfortable style which resonates with my personal style. So when Gap asked me to be a part of their collaboration, which involved select individuals from the city incorporating two of Gap’s pieces within our wardrobe to showcase our personal style as well as some local flavour, of course I was intrigued and quickly accepted.

As a fashion lover and photographer, I am constantly looking for an opportunity to take time out to shoot and shop whenever I can. And what better place than Bangalore’s iconic Brigade road to do this. It is a wonderful place not only to find great places to shop, but also to experience colors and changing landscape of crowds of people.

For the first look, I picked this casual green sweater which I paired with my trusted blue denims.I prefer to incorporate some fun & color through accessories such as a colourful bag, or some bracelets . As I wanted to be a little comfortable walking on brigade road, I decided to go with my block heels.

Take an up-close look at how I wore it on a nice balmy afternoon

Denim is a staple and for my second look I picked this absolutely elegant denim dress. I wanted to shoot a nerdy look considering Bangalore’s nerdy startup scene . I chose to shoot this look right outside the distinct building of the Bible Society of Bangalore. Over the last few years I have learned that layering with the proper fabrics is the key to a put together look. I dint want to layer it in a conventional way so I went about wearing the denim dress over another stripped dress. I then buttoned the top half and left the bottom half open. I completed my look with wide frame glasses and a hat. The look is comfy, classic and offers a little edge when i pair it with my monochrome bag & brogues and a silver statement necklace.
