There’s always something very exciting about seeing what new colors, patterns, and silhouettes will emerge season to season, from the runway to the stores of our favourite brands. But at the end of the day, it’s the basic pieces in our wardrobes that get the most attention — that perfect white T-shirt, comfortable black booties, and go-to jacket. These are the buys that don’t change so much with each season.
They’re reliable, versatile, and timeless !
I am sure you have read my previous post on Elements of a Classic Wardrobe
Today’s post is about the recent classic pieces I have added (expect the dress ) in my wardrobe which are currently my favourite and I stand by my belief that a timeless piece should be purchased with the expectation that it’ll live happily in your closet, ad infinitum 🙂
Back to the outfit, this leopard print dress from Mango has been with me for a while and I still love it as its both comfy and proper. I paired it with this linen trench coat I picked from H&M . The trench coats look so great and are really easy to throw on over a dress, skirts or jeans. It creates a chic silhouette, and as its linen it’s not cumbersome and won’t overheat you on a warmer day.Not only is it a stylish outerwear piece for transitioning from summer to fall, it also goes with just about every darn thing in your closet.ay of running errands and a work meeting called for this well balanced look – not too formal, just a bit of casual and still somehow a bit dressy.
And if you follow me on Instagram am sure you think I have only one pair of sandals as I have been wearing these almost every second day 🙂
Oh, and let’s talk about that bag for a second, right?
That’s Grazia leather bag from Hidesign’s Iconic collection, it is supposed to be this 1981 design vintage doctor bag and I just love the rugged leather look of it. Its perfect as its not only uber chic but has a lot of space and can even host my camera. Perhaps it’s the classic shape or timeless appeal, but there’s something so effortlessly chic about this bag.
